I have lived at the Courtyard at McHenry for 3 yrs and would like commend the incredible staff-management, caregivers, nurses, kitchen staff, housekeepers and maintenance for all the endless hours they spend making this facility the most wonderful place to live. Self enclosed community, stand alone building bright wide hallways, places to gather, light in all rooms from the courtyard And a closed hallway in a rectangle that surrounds the courtyard. Perfect for residents who want to walk/ wander without having to be continually redirected. The staff is very friendly, there are daily events organized by the activity director to help keep the residents engaged and social. The administrative staff is very accessible, the food is very good, and the building and rooms are very clean. I feel secure knowing my husband is well taken care of here.

And on top of it we got a wonderful and healthy salmon dinner to boot. A big thanks to The Courtyard Senior living for hosting this presentation along with Dr. Dave and Mercy Health and Visiting Angels and The Alzheimer's Association for being there. Dr. Dave was extremely knowledgeable and approachable. No matter where you are on the journey of Dementia and Cognitive decline with yourself or a loved one these sessions are critically important for not only educating but opening a door to the community. This subject is daunting and sometimes very difficult to share with folks. You have provided a safe space where all thoughts and ideas and concerns can be expressed and exchanged in community with those in a similar situation. Please continue to provide these seminars. I thank everyone deeply who helped put it together.
